For the last several years we held the Annual Western Reserve Old Car Fun Days. This event draws twenty to thirty cars from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. It’s great fun looking at interesting old cars, talking car stuff, and hanging out with friends and making new acquaintances.

We’re doing it again on Saturday, July 11 from 11:00 ‘til 3:00. Dick Gortz will again be our host at his home, 34850 Solon Rd. in Solon. There’s plenty of room for us to park on the lawn (and driveway if it’s wet). Dick’s house is easy to find – Exit Rt. 422 at SOM Center Rd. (Rt. 91). South on Rt. 91 for ¼ mi. Left on Solon Rd. House ½ mi. on right – 2 doors east of Sedlak Interiors (go under the bridge). Dick’s phone is (216) 789-0901.

This event is all about the oldies. Some of us just love the pre-80’s cars, and we want to see them all. If you’ve got a pre-80’s car, bring it, whether it’s a show car or a driver. And tell us all about it – how you got it, why you like it, what you’ve done to it or had done. If you don’t have an oldie, come anyway and see some fun cars and hear about some true-life adventures in maintenance and restoration. Our Technical Director Ted Gottfried will bring a “mystery car”, one of the cars he’s rebuilding, and tell the story.

Dick will cook some brats, dogs (and veggie burgers for those who prefer) on the grill for lunch, and we’ll provide soft drinks, and maybe a keg of beer. RSVP with the following form, and send it with payment of $12 per person to Bill VerDuin by July 5.
